The Myron Gushlak Foundation is pleased to announce a recent donation to the ASPCA.

Founded in 1866 by Henry Bergh, it seems that the ASPCA is a permanent part of the American landscape. The fact that it is still around speaks to the never-ending need for the valuable services performed by this institution. The need for an advocate for animals has never waned.

The ASPCA does more than set up shelters and pet adoption, however. It is also on the cutting edge of legislation aimed at the protection of all animals. Currently it is supporting the Puppy Mill Reform Act, fighting for humane treatment of the carriage horses in New York City and fighting breed-specific legislation. It is the only voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, and the MGF is pleased to support their efforts.
