About Us - Myron Gushlak Foundation

Myron Gushlak has created the Myron Gushlak Foundation as a vehicle for his charitable donations. It is his wish to expand his personal philanthropy to touch more people and an increasing number of worthy causes. Mr.Gushlak is a Canadian born investment banker who has reached a point in his career where establishing a foundation seems a natural progression. The creation of the foundation allows him to combine other people’s generosity with his own and to focus those resources to greater effect.

Unlike most foundations, MGF is not promoting any political or religious agenda. It is neither conservative nor liberal. It is not a lobby group posing as charity, nor does it have a doctrine it wishes to promote. In that sense, it is truly independent. When it identifies a creditable need, MGF will act to fill that need. MGF will always strive for transparency in the increasingly opaque world of charitable contributions. The Foundation targets institutions with a high ratio of assistance to administration – those who end up dispensing the largest possible percentage of assets to the targeted need.

Myron Gushlak believes strongly that a small Foundation can make a legitimate difference in people’s lives. He is optimistic that his impact will be caringly felt by thousands of people during what he hopes will be the long lifetime of MGF.
